I’m not going to lie, World of Warcraft can be a pretty addicting game. However, I don’t think I would ever let myself be this addicted EVER!

    “Blue” Bridge

Last weekend I headed out with some friend to take some picture of the sunset on top of Thompson’s Hill. I got a few okay pictures, but after we headed down we went to the park and started to take some pictures of the Blue Bridge in Kennewick.

Okay, so I randomly decided to go check up on one of my favorite mods of the half-life engine (Natural Selection) today and was greeted with a page that at first made me mad, but then made be excited! At first thought there website went down like it does most of the time and I was really hoping to see what has happened in the past few months that I haven’t checked up on it. Instead they announced the release of Natural Selection 2! You can check out there teaser trail at the new website [EXT:Natural Selection 2]

A few friends of mine and I drove up to the top of a mountain behind his house in hopes to get a nice sunset picture, I ended up with a pretty nice one I think. I did quite a bit of editing from the original but it doesn’t look to ridiculous.

    Google Chrome Error

    Google Chrome Error

Before I left school for the summer I was going to download a few files, one of which was the latest release of Cent OS, 5.3 Final. When I went out to a mirror I was encountered with a small problem. When I clicked to download the DVD ISO it told me that [EXT:Google Chrome] could not find the file. I ignored the error and decided that maybe the mirrors no longer support a DVD ISO.

In my spare time I maintain a web server of sorts for a friend. He has a lot of people that develope and maintain the web applications he runs. With this I really never know whats going on with the files on the server. I’ll check in one day and find an extra gigabyte of information that wasn’t there the day before.  This isnt so much of a big deal when your working with a large server, but the one my friend is using doesnt have the largest hardrive so every bit of storage space needs to be kept tracked of.

In an earlier post I talked about [PuTTY] and how I use it to gain SSH access to my [Personal Home Server]. Well, it works wonders but if Im not on the same network as my server I can’t access it because its sitting behind a router.

    PuTTY

After setting up my [Personal Home Server] I encountered a delima. To setup my server I used a spare keyboard and one of my monitors. This worked wonders but after I was done setting up I didnt want to have to switch between keyboards and change my monitor over every time I wanted work on my server.

This isnt my server, but it looks nice :-)

In all simplisity a server is just another computer. I had an old computer lying around that I used for a while to store files on and run some programs. After a while I decided to build a new computer fron scratch to replace the old hunch I was using before, mainly because it was so noise and I really just wanted to build something :-). It ended up cost a little under $400 in the end for the build. I was quite pleased with it too.
